Starting Over (Again)~by Brittani Starr

Hey loves,

Okay… I have to just spill this somewhere, and you’re the only ones I trust to get it. I feel like I’m coming back to life, and at the same time, I feel like I’ve been unalive for two whole years. Seriously. Zarlequan Manor feels amazing — the energy is shifting, the characters are showing up in ways I’ve been waiting for, and yes… even Empress Bryndella and I are finally having more regular talks that actually make sense.
Adam… well, he’s… acting more Baaklarm than usual? Honestly, it’s like he’s remembering he’s a person and not just a constant critic. I’m not holding my breath — he’s still convinced I’ll never pull off a comeback. But you know what? I don’t care anymore.
Here’s the real news: I’m releasing an album. My first in twenty years. And the first track, “Barbelo,” is me calling on my inner goddess, dragging myself back into life, and screaming (kind of literally) to the universe: I’m not done yet. You can Presave here! It helps me with the distributor if you presave, so thank you!

I’m walking, moving, thinking clearly, remembering Zarlequan in ways I haven’t in years. The story is falling into place, the characters are waking up, and I feel like… maybe, finally, I’m awake too.
I know I sound dramatic, but I’m finally doing something I thought I’d lost forever. I feel nervous, terrified, thrilled, and like the kid who first started singing all over again. And yeah… Adam’s still sitting there shaking his head, but honestly, that’s just background noise now.
So, that’s it. I’m alive, the manor is alive, the story’s alive, and I’m putting my music out there. After all this time, I’m finally remembering me — Brittani Starr, washed-up pop star or not — and it feels so damn good.
With messy hope and a little bit of fire,
Brittani
