Long before it bore the name Horn & Hollow, this old stone-fronted building at the crossing of Fayette and Main held onto something it never advertised: an ancient treasure chest, said to be tethered to the hidden portals of Zarlequan Manor and bound to the Keys of Zarlequan themselves. For years it passed quietly from keeper to keeper, disguised as nothing more than a corner grocery, then a thrift shop. Now the chest has found its true keeper and the Hollow has opened.

The Legend of Horn & Hollow
There are places in the world where the veil between realms grows thin. Most people pass them every day without ever realizing what they are.
Horn & Hollow is one of those places.
Long before this building became a thrift store, long before roads and towns stretched across this land, an ancient treasure chest sailed aboard a great pirate vessel that crossed distant oceans. Filled not with ordinary riches, but with forgotten hopes, whispered promises, and enchanted relics, the chest was said to grant passage to those whose hearts carried true intention.
Then the ship vanished.
It disappeared beneath the waves, taking the treasure chest with it, where it rested in silence on the ocean floor for centuries.
But magic has a way of changing its own stories.
As the realms shifted and hidden portals awakened, the chest was drawn from the depths and passed quietly from one guardian to another, traveling through unseen doorways until it arrived at a humble little shop known as The Next Treasure. Though few understood its history, Brandy and Mandy unknowingly became its caretakers, protecting it until the time came for its next journey.
At the same time, the ancient portals beneath Zarlequan Manor began to stir.
The Manor does not choose its guardians lightly. When a new key must be found, the portals whisper to those willing to listen.
I answered that call.
The portals led me here, to this little thrift store, because hidden within it was more than a business. It was another gateway. Another piece of the story. Another step toward uncovering the Keys of Zarlequan.
That is why this place became Horn & Hollow.
Today, the ancient treasure chest still stands at the entrance, waiting patiently for every traveler who walks through the door.
Visitors are invited to write down a wish, a dream, a hope, or even a prayer. Fold the paper (or offer a small coin) and place it gently into the chest.
No one can promise what happens next.
Some wishes remain here.
Others are carried beyond the veil into the hidden realms.
And every so often…
They get answered.
Perhaps your wish returns as an unexpected opportunity.
Perhaps it finds you as a new friendship, a forgotten treasure, or a door opening exactly when you need it most.
No one truly knows how the chest chooses.
Only that it has been doing so for centuries.
Every item inside Horn & Hollow has its own story. Every treasure has belonged to someone before, waiting for the moment it finds its next keeper. Here, forgotten things are not discarded, they are rediscovered, cherished, and given a new beginning.
